Way back in 2005 before Social media had been so named we were working on what was then called Brand Advocacy. Students of Connected Marketing. We created some activity for Nivea that was extremely successful but due to the success were asked not to share the sales data that we had delivered. Suffice to say it was our golden egg that we could not share with the world of Social media. We can say, however,that we launched a brand with no other media and delivered 80% of their yearly target in a fraction of that time.
